It’s best to know exactly what you want before getting in line here. You don’t want to piss off the guy behind you who has been coming to this 91-year-old deli for the last 90 years.

Food Network

Situated in L.A.’s original Little Italy, the Eastside Market Italian Deli has been serving Los Angelinos classic Italian dishes since 1929. Take note of the D.A. Special. Guy devoured every last bit of sausage, meatball, roast beef and pastrami on this sandwich of “incomparable deliciousness.”

Eastside Market Italian Deli

The Infatuation

We love Eastside Market because even after more than 90 years, this Italian deli on the outskirts of Downtown still feels like a secret. Their sandwiches are the messy, red sauce-covered variety that are hard to find anywhere else in LA. The #7 (roast beef, pastrami, and cheese) is probably our favorite, but if you’re feeling ambitious, the D.A. Special (sausage, meatball, roast beef, and pastrami) is your one-way ticket to an all-day nap.
